About 3 weeks ago, I had two symptoms reported to me that I thought were related - calls dropping.

Come to find out, a station port went bad since this person complained it happening to him. That solved, however, the other symptom was people going into their voicemail and hearing the tone you would hear if you open line and don't dial for about a minute. This would record for the entire length of the recording session.

After experimenting, I found that if I call in to someone's VM and hangup during the announcment, this happens every time.

Ecomm tells me it's Comcast and a Disconnect Supervision timer problem. Comcast tells me taint so. I hooked a buttset up to one of their ports and called via cell - then hung up, got DT back.

We've had Comcast for over a year now and this issue just started happening.

Where can I look to resolve this in the PBX?

Thanks!

BTW, in researching the forums here I found mention of Disconnect Supervison.

I verified that the Drop Pulse on each line is 014.

After a few frustrating weeks, I think I found the answer in another message:

https://www.sundance-communications.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?/ubb/get_topic/f/3/t/001074.html

Program screen M > T > Talk Mode Full = Y
This was set to Full = N and Partial = Y.

Per the quoted message, I made a change here and the line releases and doesn't record the off-hook signal. Not sure if Ecomm made some change or if something else happend. I never go into that screen. *shrug*. Welp...one down, one to go!

The M screen should go Y N
Y Y

To do a proper test, you need to hook a multimeter(analog works best) to line. Have someone call and hang up while connected. Your meter should drop to 0 volts for 500 ms. Simply returning dialtone isn't enough.
FYI - Ecomm is correct - 99% of the time, these issues are with the carrier.
