For some reason we lost dailtone on every phone on one of our DKSC-16 cards. We're running the Axxess 4.2 system. Has anyone run into this before?

Isnt Dialtone a moderator here? Where they talking to him on the phone, just kidding. Is it a DKSC16+ or just the DKSC16? The first version of the DKSC16+ card had this problem of locking up. Did the phones have intercom or did they they just loose the ability to make outside calls?

It's just the DKSC16. The phones would work fine except you couldn't hear dailtone... You can even make IC and outgoing calls fine and hear everything but the dailtone before dialing.

I take it that you have more than one DKSC16 and just the phones on that one card were acting up. I have not had this problem yet, though I am curious as to what the error log shows. One great feature of the Axxess, it has a really well detailed error log that you can download. If by chance you download the error log and feel like sending it to me I would like to look at it, I am always up for learning something new. Thanks

This system is getting wierd. I tried to reset the card then the system, after that no phones worked at all. This morning 2 phones on that card work fine... they have tone and everything. The rest of the phones on that card don't show any signs of life. Looks like I was mistaken about the type of card... it is a DKSC16+ We also have a DKSC16 and another DKSC16+ that work fine, along w/ a few DKSC cards.

Here's the skinny on what happened: I tried resetting the card which I found out temporarily fixes the problem, but in the process the cable was loosened (it wasn't screwed down)... which caused some of the phones to not work at all. There is a chip to permanently fix the dailtone problem on the DKSC16+ cards which is on route to be installed soon.

Perfect Bullcube, I am glad you got to the bottom of that. After I responded to your last message I started looking over some old tech notes and PPRs (product problem reports) last night to see if this problem has ever come up with anyone else, of course, I couldn't find anything. Im sure your customer is happy now. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif)
