I am supposed to get some old AXXESS equipment that is broken. A water pipe burst near the KSU and from what I hear the CPU or some chips in the CPU are blown. Can these be fixed? I am guessing that it isnt cheap to get these repairs, but I know someone who can look over the equipment.
From what I know, here is the stuff im getting:
Old style 14 slot KSU w/ power supply
DKSCs, LSCs (not sure how many)
CPU 128
VM CPU
Single Line Adaptor box

The CPU 128 has three chips that can be replaced, plus a couple of DSP chips. Depending on how much water damage this system recieved, I doubt replacing a couple of chips is going to fix the problem, but you never know. If the other equipment you listed is damaged, just replace it, unless you know someone that can troubleshoot down to the componet level.

Okay lets square away the KSU issue. The Axxess KSU is a 8 slot cabinet (new & old style). 7 slots are universal and the 8th slot is only for the CPU. So if you were told its a 14 slot old style KSU then you are getting a double cabinet or two cabinets screwed together to look like one. And this also means two power supplys.

Ok, thanks-I will go take a look at the KSU sometime this week. The system is from 1994 I think.

8 8 ckt DKSCs

1 Axxessory Talk CPU

No problem. By the way, if you dont know how to tell the old style KSU from the new style, the old style has the power supply mounted on top of all the circuit boards. The new style KSU has a whole new power supply that slides into the KSU's left most bay.

i thought it was an old KSU, since its an 8 yr old system, but it is a new style one.
