We have the 1999 Electra Elite phone system. We have 15 phones. THe phone only rings thru on 3 of these. The people in the back office cannot hear it ring to help answer calls. How can I make all the phones ring when there is a incoming call?

I guess I was not clear on what I wanted now that I reread what I wrote. During the day when we are all here the phone rings on 3 extensions. The other phones you can see the lines light up when it rings but the actual ring cannot be heard. So someone in another office cannot hear it because it is so far between offices. So how do I make all the phones ring when an incoming call comes in?

like i said you'll need to get into programming and go to program 4-01/02 (day/night ringing) for the ports (phones) you want to ring

What you need is installer level programming. You will need to contact your vendor or contract some tech support to walk you through it, if you have some experience.

I'm fairly new to the NEC world, but wouldn't you add line appearances to keys on the phones, then verify in 9001 that they ring?

devin>>her second post said that she could see the lines blinking so that means that they are already assigned to buttons on the phones. and 9001 isn't a programming option in the nec elite's.
