Hey all,
So I turned on my caller ID feature last night and it seems a bit odd to me. It will show the company name of who calls but it won't display the phone number, is there any way to reverse that? When someone leaves a message and you listen to it via voice mail it will then display their number. Is there a way for me to flip flp it?
Its an Inter-Tel Axxent phone system.
Thanks for any and all suggestions!

I think this is by design. according to the manual: Caller information displays (on keysets and Desktop Applications) can be enabled or disabled in database programming (see page 6–93). If enabled, the AXXESS determines the content of the displays using the following priority list: (1) If Desktop Interface is enabled, the name provided by the Desktop Application is displayed. (2) If a Caller ID name is supplied for the call, that name will be displayed.
I will try to dig further for you....It has been a while since I worked on one of these...

It has been confirmed. If the AXXENT receives Name, it displays it and there is no way to toggle over to the number. By default, Number is displayed in the VM.

You can request teleco to send Number then name, they normally send name then number.
