I'm an IT guy required to manage our AXXESS switch and learning more by trial, hopefully, than error.
It's running AXXESS 4.4-03
Have a manager request for calls to an extension to be forwarded to an outside phone number, i.e., area code and phone number external to the switch. Can this switch do that?
Or alternatively, does the email functionality of this switch serve any of that function?
Yes, depending on how you want to forward a call. Any extension can be forwarded by pressing the forward key, the hitting outgoing button, and dialing the number. All calls going to that extension are forwarded, even if this phone is not plugged in and working. Also on 4.4 a voice message that is left can call an outside number for message retrival.
