What is it with the trouble getting responses out of technicians that work on Cisco systems?
I think even TAC is better than our vendor.....
anyways, we have been trying to get a dual auto attendant setup on our Nashvill CME. I have the Auto Attendants ready to go. One line rings 5 extensions, setup using a dummy extension appearance on those 5 phones, then forwards to Auto Attendant. The other line goes straight to Auto Attendant.
Day ring is working fine, I just need to tell the receptionist how to forward the lines at night. The instructions I got from our vendor have not worked.....repeatedly. I have one auto att set for X2001, and the other for X2002. when we forward the lines, we get fast busy.
Any help would be much appreciated. I made a TAC request, but who knows when I will get any help.....

Make sure your forward all calls for your receptionist phone is in the right calling search space, especially if you are on version 6.1- you have to manually program that in or phones won't forward at all. To me it does sound like a CSS issue though somewhere.

Sorry for my limited knowledge on this system, but I'm a pbx guy transitioning to cisco voip.
we are on version 3.3 CME running on a router with IOS 12.4(3g).
Calling Search Space?
I have both auto att set, but the dn's for them don't do a thing.
Still have yet to hear from TAC.....go figure.

I didn't get a chance to try that. Our tech finally got in and got the auto att working. Now our day ring was screwed up from some emergency changes I made when the recept. phone went dead. I can't change a hunt group without rebuilding it. when I build a hunt group it doesn't do what I tell it to. Tried Peer and sequential. have two extensions. No secondary number, 3100 as final, tried timeouts of 180, 10, 12, 15. None of those worked. Also has 2 hops and prefs of 0 and 7. E.164 Set to both reg.
I have the recept fwd'd to group after 10 secs. Calls keep ringing receptionist.

Try using an overlay instead of a hunt group, I think you will like it a whole lot more.
