I am currently attempting to flash a CPU 512 CPU. The load is failing after establishing the link and requesting a yes / no answer to the question "the slave CPU is off line, procede with upload?". After answering yes the screen changes to upload status 0% and fails shortly thereafter with the CPU lights flashing rapidly. Resetting 6 times in 2 seconds and re-trying ends with the same result. The software disk only contains one .bin file, do I need a special .bin file for an EAC CPU? Any input is appreciated.

You should only need one .bin file per cpu. Its the same file for the CPU/EAC and slave. A few things to try: Make sure you are using the same cable you use to do DB programming. Try 9600 for an upload baud rate. If you are using a USB-serial adapter on your laptop then can it and use a real serial port, I've had serious problems with them before on many different brands of laptops. Also what version are you running, and what is the file name you are trying to upload? There were some problems in the past with certain versions of DB programmings upload utility doing exactly what you say.

</font> I have found my mistake in this area - silly me, I presumed that the software in the CPS OS file folder were only for the call processing server itself. As such I was attempting to load the "regular" premium software from the CPC folder. However, I could use the default admin password for the Windows NT administrator in the call processing server.
