OK this is probably something obvious but how do you adjust the contrast on the display lcd? I have searched through the documentation and user guide and I can't find it anywhere.

Press the ^ arrow on the OK circle and go through the basic/advanced sections it's in there somewhere, not sure where exactly with one not in front of me. Don't bother with the backlight either it doesn't work haha.

Been through that, not finding it. Must be in some other language.

Could've swore I saw it in there maybe I'm wrong. If it's not in those menus I'd say you can't do it.

If that's so then this is strike one. I'll be looking for something else to replace the sts.

Why do you want to change the contrast anyways, just curious? The display is dark as it should need to be, and the screen will tilt if light shining on it or something of that effect is the issue. I just looked through the user guide and didn't see anything in there about changing it so I must be remembering wrong.

There is no option that I am aware of to change LCD contrast other than tilting the screen. I have had no complaints about the LCD at all even from customers who used to have back lit phones before the SBX was installed.
I had a lot of LCD problems with the STS. The screen would display a solid line only and many times it would just quit altogether. A replug would normally fix it. Contrast was a problem due to customers not knowing that the volume control would change it when the phone was in an idle state.
