Hello, We had a vertical rep in today and they told us that if you want to check your vm from outside you have to call in and be transferred to your voicemail and then you press #? Is this the only way? What if you have the Auto Attendant answer all calls immediately? Is there a way like in a menu if a caller presses * or # it will ask for your extension and password? What about a backdoor number, so if you set a backdoor up you would have to have the AA answer then transfer to your station, let it ring 4 times and then when it goes to VM press #? Seems like a long time to check your messages.....

Whoever installs the system can add Mailbox Owner to one of the digits in the ccr table, we always use 9, and tell the customer when it's installed that the feature is there. So you call in, hit an AA, dial 9, enter extension, enter password. The other way is more so if you are never AA or you ring during the day and AA at night, so someone can send you into your MB directly for you to check them.
