Have cust which I want to have remote access thru a modem. Have not been able to find how to set it up. I'm used to the STSe remote stuff. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I just want to be able to dial in & program from home.

Go to pgm 170 and assign a line to the modem. That is the only way i have been able to get it to answer changing ring modes or transferring to ext 131 does not seem to work. I just set an ip address on the sbx and forward port 5103 to the address of the sbx and it works really well.Even if the customer has a dynamic ip you can get them to goto ipchicken to see what address they have and use it. Hope that helps.

That is a bit odd for a system that hosts 48 (max) station ports. With it starting at 100, do I dare ask what happens to the number for the 48th station port? Does it skip to 148? I am guessing that it becomes 613594 X 3.12^3.
Would the code of 499 have been too difficult to maintain? Just asking.

I'm assumming that 147 is like 499 was with the STS. My cust will only have 16 station ports 100-115. Is this correct?

Kinda, With the STS you didn't lose a port from your digital card. So your proposal to the customer for the SBX would be something like, the KSU will handle 47 extensions instead of 48 with STS.

You can change the modem extension number. If you truly need 48 extensions, you can forgo the modem and use IP for programming.
