When placing a call out of the system, when the called party answers there is about a 5 second period where the called party cannot hear you. When the audio is finally cut-through then the call timer starts rolling.
If I test the lines with a buttset, it works fine.
I called Vertical and the tech support rep abruptly told me she "never heard of such a thing and it has to be the service provider". She also told me there are no settings or timers that control answer supervision response in the MBX (which I find hard to believe).
Their service provider says since it works fine with a buttset, it has to be the MBX.

There isn't any answer supervision provided on loop start lines; only disconnect supervision. With that being said, this must be due to a setting in the system. As for what that setting is, I don't have a clue.
Don't know if this would help... however I installed a MBX and hooked a Vaolcom Remote Reply Pageing system to it and had the same problem, the fix is Program 174 CO Outgoing Inter Digit Timer. Set all the timers to their lowest level.
