So, I have a customer with 2 lines, can't make any phone calls that have a '1' in them? Seems as though the system is not generating any dtmf tones on the co lines, we had them reset the system, that worked,,,,,for a few hours, now the same thing is back? I haven't called tech support ....yet. I guess I could reprogram the lines to be 3 and 4, they do have an expansion card and second cabinet.thoughts?

Is it normal dial tone or from a cable company, vonage, sip thru ATI etc etc?

had good dialtone and dtmf on buttset. Verizon copper lines. we just installed the sbx in January.

Check to see if your users have turned enblock on. Trans/pgm 1-ring scroll to option 4.

Derrick, if that was enabled( What the heck is it? ) wouldn't it be 'on' all the time? we had them Reset the system, and it Worked ok for a couple- 5 hours, then it started again?

I had this same problem a couple of years ago. Tech support couldn't help. I even replaced the system and it started all over. That's when we new it was something external acting on the system. Customer finally gave up and said get rid of it and I put a spare DX-80 and of course they love it. The original cab is my shop and never had a problem. I just installed the replacement about 4 months ago. Again with no problems to date. My issue almost always arose on the same day almost to the hour. Curious for sure but was never able to track down the cause.

Update: spoke to King, they were thinking Failing DTMF generator---Called Vertical, they are sending replacement Cabinet. weird stuff, I could dial ext 216, wouldn't hear the 1, but it went thru on intercom, on the outside lines, could not dial 1,3,7,9. Reset cleared it...again.

That original cab, now my shop system, came with something less than 3.5 and techsupp said up to 3.5 which I did and all was reprogrammed from scratch. If your problem isn't the same it's a first cousin!
Was station side wiring new or existing?

we are running 3.5.

existing wiring, all cat 3. there was an old Toshiba stratus in there before.
