I am unable to get the STL phone to place a call on hold. When I press the hookswitch the call drops. Is there a setting that needs to be changed?

Does the SLT have a flash button? If so, most of these phones have a forced positive disconnect function of two-seconds when operating the hook switch.
As far as I know, the SBX supports an industry-standard hook flash of 300-600 milliseconds right out of the box.

Yes it does have a flash button. Do you know which timer this is? I see the CO Flash (PGM 142) that is set at 100 msec (default).
