i want to program an sbx so calls will forward to an outside number. i set it up and it works for transfered calls but not incoming calls that do ring at that set. it is ext 10. the manual seem to indicate it would forward both icm and co calls. any ideas. thanks dave

Is 10 the only station that rings? If more than one phone rings the co call will not forward unless you preset forward the line to a speed dial number.

no i have several sets ringing. i will try it. i did alreay try it with using a speed dial bin, but it was ringing several ext. thanks dave

Are you ringing a hunt group? I dont think it will forward calls off net if the phone is part of a hunt group.

no its not ringing a hunt group. i am going to try it with it only ringing that set to see if that helps. i never had any trouble with the sts forwarding calls coming in, to an outside number. i will give an update.

set up a speed dial on that phone (personal speed dial), off net fwd to that number. should work fine i've done it multiple times. make sure that there are 2 lines open for outside calls, and that you have any unused co lines taken out of co group 1.

If all else fails, you might use the call coverage option to get by the ringing thing.

i did try having it only ring on ext 101 and it works fine when it is a aa transfer to the ext but wont work on incoming calls. but- i was using system speed dial. im going to give it another shot with sta speed dial. thanks dave

ok i called vertical and found out i cant do the call forward off net becuase im using co preset to get the lines to the auto attendant. they remomended using a ring group with on demand ring setting and that seems to be working. thanks for the input. dave

I always use station group on the sbx, makes for cleaner pgm'ing, less scattered.
