Good afternoon all,

I have a recently aquired Axxent 2.0 system, and have had no luck in bringing a keyset up, or connecting to it with the programming software.

I have a cable that runs from the second DKSC card (it is a 16 port) that I have punched down on a 66 block following the colour codes I found in the cable section of this forum. (search for "boy over girl brings smile" heh) Next, I punched down (for testing purposes) a line cord (the yellow and black wires) to the first port on the block. Nothing happens when pluged into the keyset, so I tried the second port, still nothing. (I have tried reversing the black and yellow also, to no avail) Any suggestions?

Next the DB Programming...

I have tried to use both a straight and a null modem cable on the serial port on the back, there are several though so any hints on the specific port would be great. I am going to connect a POTS line to the system next to see if I can ring into the auto attendant, and if that works what trouble shooting steps should I take next for the DKSC?

Thanks,

Michael

First the DKSC is a 12 port (or maybe an 8 port) but not a 16 port card. Try connecting to the 1st DKSC card (the bottom slot) and see if anything comes up. On the back of the Axxent there is a small 5" cable for the voice mail, the programming port is to the left of the top port for the voice mail cable. It should be a str8 thru cable. Must have Inter-Tel Axxent software loaded on your laptop in order to program system.

Wired up the bottom DKSC (your right its 12, got it mixed up with the AXXESS) nothing comes up on the first few ports, wired up the top DKSC (8 port) and the phone comes up. I have the Axxess 1.0 and 2.0 software (Inter-tel was nice enough to give it to me w/ a cable I needed.) but no joy. Ill get back to you when I have gone in programming to see if the DKSC12 is actualy set up or whats going on.
