How do I update the IP phones? Some have a version of 1.x some 2.x and some 8.x

Just plug the phone into a hub and plug your laptop into a hub, use the Inter-tel upload utility and select IPP-SLA phone and use Network tab and enter IP address of phone. Hope this helps.
