Is there anyway to change the access number dialed to reach the attendant from 0 to 1000? Also, is there anyway to create stations beginning with 0? This is on an Axxess 9.002.
Thanks!

Yes to the first question. Two or more settings to change for this. 1st one is under Voice Processor, Dial 0 Destination, set it to extension and then to 1000. This will let callers dial out of voice mail and go to 1000. Second will be under each and every call routing announcement, Digit Translations, 0, change to TRSF to Ext, 1000. Hope this helps @nd question is NO. Tho not sure why anyone would want to? ------------------ Voice and Data Cabling in DFW, [email protected] DnR Communications [This message has been edited by DnRComm (edited August 12, 2005).]

The reason anyone would want to is when you've run out of DID's and the only ones your carrier can supply to you begin with a 0. I was able to do it in the past on a Siemens and it would be nice to be able to do it now.

I understand trying to keep DID numbers and extension numbers matching, but if DID number is xxx-xxx-0123 can it not go to ext 123? Now this might present a problem if you had ext numbers 1230-1239 already in use. ------------------ Voice and Data Cabling in DFW, [email protected] DnR Communications

Actually, we are already using 3-digit extensions and I need to propose moving to 4-digit extensions, hence the problem. I know I will not get approval for the 4-digit extensions if they can't match the DID. And I've already tried getting different DID's through the carrier but numbers are very scarce in NY if you want to keep the same area code.

Maybe use 5 digit dialing with 10 then extension numbers that match DID. Or better yet if DID number is say 212-793-0123 make ext number for that extension 30123. Just an idea. ------------------ Voice and Data Cabling in DFW, [email protected] DnR Communications

Thanks DnR. That's what I'm planning to propose, just wanted to exhaust all my possibilities.
