I'm sending a tech to cross-connect 6 new lines replacing 15 lines from existing carrier. Is there a way in which the customer or my tech can busy out or take out lines from the system using the 16 button display phone that this hotel is using for a console? Would that be in some kind of a Attendant Guide of some sort?? Just wondering---trying to keep it simple if we can.

You can enter MOC mode from a display phone. From there you just need to remove the unused trunks from the trunk group.

Yeah, the 2000 will cycle through each of the trunks in a trunk group when the user accesses that route.

Like Steve said, use a phone to remove those trunks from CM3000 in the PBX.

Just a Quick Update. Century Link is not ready yet--not until Sept 10. Our tech was there today at 10:00--but he was the only one. No one told us different. Oh well.

Might I suggest that you don't delete the lines as you may find with such a large reduction that you soon have to add some back in. Instead busy them out, that way you can add the odd one back in later if need be! To busy them out use Cmd E51 de (trunk number eg 001) de they should display a 1 meaning in service. Enter 0 exe to make them busy.
