Would anyone have any good Softphone - Headset & Allworx combinations they use and know work well.
I have deployed X-Lite & Jabra 920 USB headset. Everything works well with the exception of the button on the headset is not functional. The customer wanted a free softphone though so I guess thats what they get as Jabra does have a compatibility chart.
Been meaning to try a few different combinations but haven't had the time.

What model of phone? What is the software version of the Allworx system? When you say "button on the headset is not functional."--do you mean that the headset cannot pick up a ringing call by pushing the pick-up button on the headset?
I believe most of our Allworx customers have used the Plantronics cordless (CS55??. I don't have any experience with the Jabras--although they look to be quite nice.
I don't have any customers using a softphone at this time---but I've tested X-Lite here in the office and I have run into no problems with it.

3cx.
Integration with a wireless headset may be a reach with any free softphone, even paid for that matter.

Thanks everyone.
I've played around with the 3CX for mobile and for computer. Don't remember what I found out. I think it operated the same as the x-lite.
JW: In the application I'm speaking about the customer has a small call centre. The thought was to use TAPI with their CRM software. After ordering the system they found out that their CRM software is incompatible with TAPI on Windows 7. The softphone was always going to be installed anyway so they could communicate internally. In short, yes the button on the headset does not answer or release calls. There are keyboard shortcuts which I suggested to use. These softphones are on laptops, no phones.
I recommended purchasing 9204 and using Call Assistant since they purchased it for the TAPI driver. However the customer didn't want to invest in phones for the call centre. They have a 48x version 7.4 (I think. At least the highest 7.3)
Personally I think a 9204 with Call Assistant is the way to go.
