Hey Guys Does anyone know if a line cord going from a jack outside the fire alarm box into the box is out of code in New York im being told that the wire has to be inside conduit Thanks in advance

I do believe it's out of code. As far as I recall the telephone circuit has to be brought in to the alarm panel in conduit. The line cord and jack are then locked up inside the panel and cannot be accidentally unplugged.
