Well with 16 port digital cards, 16 port single line cards, and Loop Start Cards with Daughter boards, an option card, CPU you would need at least 47 slots, with 7 per cabinet, that would mean at least 7 cabinets, but I would do more for expansion, but why with that many co lines are you not doing 4-5 T1's for your dial tone? Just that can reduce it down to 4 cabinets.

Ditto what DNR said. I would really have to wonder why you would want that many POTS lines. T-1 circuits should be cheaper and would save a lot of slots.

Actually, you may want to consider going with a PRI set up. We had similiar numbers riding on a T-1 and switched via Verizon to a PRI. While set up and such did cost some money (new card for system and installation), overall we are saving about 500.00 per month. But if you go to a reseller for the card, you can save a lot of money.

You would want a 512 system, possibly with redundant CPS's with dupli-disk and dupli-disk on your VM.

Anything greater then 4 cabinets would require an ATM switch which would greatly increase the cost.
