Its been a while since I made a STAR app to cover a multi-day holiday [for a client], but I could have sworn that a STAR was able to span past midnight. In other words, the start day used the start time and the stop day used the stop time.
Apparently not. It seems I have to make 2 entries for each holiday to cover an extended period of time. Did Mitel change this at some point in a recent version?? My client is using v5.0.4.63

STARs still work the same as they always did. They will span multiple days, but different hours within those days require separate table entries.
If you want the routing to be active from Monday at 12 noon until Tuesday at 5 pm, two table entries are needed. The first for Monday, 12 noon until midnight; and the second for Tuesday, midnight until 5 pm.
If you have one table entry that says Monday and Tuesday, start at 12 noon and end at 5 pm, it will only be active for 5 hours both days.

Wow, I haven't said this about Inter-Tel software in a LONG time but that is LAME. I guess I never noticed that shortcoming before because most my clients are not 24x7. They normally are closed on weekends and one entry (in a STAR) was enough to cover a weekday holiday.
So, if my client wanted to close from sometime on Sat afternoon and re-open sometime on Monday I would have to burn 6 rules inside the STAR. Again, LAME. I can already see a potential for having to chain 2 STARs together to handle a year's worth of holidays (or company closures like inventory time, etc.)
Guess I'll submit to Mitel's wish list. Fat chance with that feature coming anytime soon.

For the above example, a maximum of three table entries would be needed, more likely two. Not lame at all, you just need to understand them.
I use a crap-ton of STAR applications, and never once had a problem with running out of space.
