Customer has a CIX 600 with Stratagy ES and we can no longer enable unified messaging for any mailbox. The message "AddIntegratedMessagingLicense !Error {failed to add license}" is displayed. As far as licenses they have far fewer users enabled than they have in the past so it shouldn't be a license count issue. Any thoughts? Thanks!

You might netmeeting in and do a SAM Query to check. Have you rebooted it? I think IES's come with 5 seats of UM from the factory. Can you enable it on any mailboxes at all?

Thanks for your response. Yes - I rebooted (knew I should have mentioned that in my post!). They DO have several mailboxes enabled and we were trying to re-enable a mailbox that had been enabled but was disabled when an employee left. At one point they had about 25 mailboxes enabled and now only about 15 so they should have plenty of licenses. We can't enable any of the disabled mailboxes. I'm not super familiar with this system so I'm not quite sure how to do a SAM query.

The Sam Query is a way to see how many licenses are installed on the system. It does not, unfortunately, tell you how many of there are in use.
The easist way to see if the issue is the number of license is causing te error is to temporarly disable another mailbox and see if you now can enable the one that gave the error.
If you think that there is a problem with the licensing, then it would require a call to Toshiba tech suport to get it straight. The only people that can call Toshiba Tech supoprt is tech for an authorize Toshiba dealer.
If you had a bit of time, you could count all the mailboxes that are enabled for UM (one at a time). You may find that someone enables more mailboxes then you thought.

And for Toshiba dealers... just search FYI's WebKnowledgebase for 'aclient' - a builtin program that will tell you which mailboxes have unified messaging turned on.
An absolute necessity when dealing with 50 or more mailboxes!
