You can switch to the alternate keymap, but unless you know what that will be it wouldn't help much. Often it is the same.

In programming under keymaps, put the extension in the standard list for executive and the alternate list for basic. The user can toggle between keymaps by entering feature code 399 from that extension.

They switched her phone from a basic to an executive phone.... so some of the buttons do not work correctly..
I read Andrea's reply... I am unable to dial into the system for some reason.. I was hoping to do this from her phone.. so 399 will toggle it? But will it toggle it from basic to the exec keymap?

Dial into the system? Do you have the programming software? Then yes you can change her key maps to fix her phone. You cant fix this through the phone directly.
The keymaps would have to be pre programmed in order to change it using 399.

Yeah, that was the problem. I was unable to dial in. But for future sake. Is that where you use the alternate keymap feature to pre-program the keymaps. Currently we just create three keymaps - basic, standard and exec and assign users to each.

Yes. You set up your keymaps in DB Studio which is the software you use to talk to the cabinet. Once you have the software you can set up a dial in connection or a local connection. On our swtiches we come in across the Internet and make an IP connection to the programming machine just because I HATE dial up.
