Have a client with a Merlin Magix Rel 4. Have a cordless phone on a T/R 016 port. The cordless rings fine on an intercom call (long ring) but won't ring on an outside call (short double ring)I have tested with a 2500 set and it does ring on an outside call. Thinking the cordless doesn't like the short double ring. Is there a way to change an outside call to be a long ring instead of the short double ring?

you can change the ring frequency of the 016 t/r module and that should take care of it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I saw that in the manual, but was thinking it was more of an issue with the short ring cycle since I have had problem in the past with the short intercom rings on samsung systems.

Leave the frequency alone, but to to Aux Equipment and tell the system that the port is a Fax extension. That will change the double ring into a standard, longer, single ring.
