Hey Guys..... FX2 with 17F and strange issues... When parked and then picked up a hold reminder starts ringing the phone after the timer is reached during the conversation. Then once the call is over and user hangs up it stays on the phones intercom button and hold button. The line provider is Cablevision using their 4port gateways. It seems like a positive disconnect issue to me.

I agree, except you mentioned that a parked call is picked up and a hold recall starts? That part confused me. I'm sure that you have a disconnect supervision issue otherwise.

That's what is confusing me as well..... I know these switches well but this has stumped me. I changed all the exts to Hold Reminder Inhibit which takes the reminder away completely but it still doesn't release the call once it has ended resulting in their lines getting tied up.

You have a loop start board installed? Map your lines to some buttons and then test. If you have some unused line ports map some of those. Your testing the control function of the line card. I've had 16 port cards have 4 bad ports and exhibit issues you've described. You may to go down to one station and line card if your cabinet is fully populated. The disconnect issue is secondary!

I had this issue with an FXT. The recall would occur after the call was retrieved from Park. I believe the issue went away eventually, but not sure why. I figured it was due to a corrupt database, since a replacement SRV and CPU did not correct the issue. My next step was going to be to reprogram from scratch, but the last time I tested the problem no longer existed, from what I could tell.

I thought it was a corruption issue as well but a fresh database didn't correct it. I also swapped the Loopstart card as well as well tried a different slot. Cablevisions support is unable to provide their timing info for disconnect. This issue just started when my client moved locations using Cablevisions newer gateways. The issue was not present prior with the other gateways. It also doesn't help that they are using the switch hybrid and not key with Loopstart lines. I tried to convince them to reconfigure key but they are creatures of habit.

If you've satisfied yourself there's no switch problems then begin testing the CO lines for loop current and voltage and disconnect. What model of voice box is cablevision using? Hope its not the Motorola SBV 5322.
