I have a question on the programming/feature of phones.
I have been told that there is a feature or hidden feature of the TA1232 and the 7200 series phones that allows the administrator to listen in to any extension or a specific extension (for quality control purposes only). How can this be set up and what is the name of this feature? We have telephone installers coming out to reprogram/repurpose our TA1232 system and need to ask them how this is done.
Thanks Mike

Well, either it's not a TA or you don't have 72xx phones, since the TA is analog and the 72's are digital :-)
Executive busy override is the only feature that lets you listen. You can stop the warning tone, but it's not private. An external Service Observing system or a Comdial Executech/Impact has that feature.
