Hey guys, I have searched and while I found other people having similar problems from Google/here I have not found a solution.

The Tapit system has been cheerily logging *most* calls since August for us but I took down the computer hosting the software and and put it back up this past Saturday, after which all I get is gibberish in the monitor and no logging. I really had to wrestle with this config in August to get it working at all and it is only really reliable for our direct dial lines, people without direct dial lines get sporadically recorded.

Anywho, I have the PC connected via serial and I made no changes to the RS232 settings when I brought the system down. Out of desperation I have tried every combo of rate/bits/parity/flow ctrl this week and with no result. I get this for all logging now:

Here are the port settings for the serial from Inter-Tel software:

SMDR buffer settings from Inter-Tel

System/Socket info:

Now to me the big red X screams problem, but it has been this way since I set it up originally and it worked...?

Any help or input is greatly appreciate so I can get this thing working again!

You didn't show the com settings for the PC. You should set the com settings in the PC to 2400, no parity, 8 bit, 1 stop bit. That would be the default for the Inter-tel.You may want to turn off the auto baud setting in the Axxess. This way you lock on the 2400 baud rate setting. The screen you showed with the socket settings with a red x on SMDR has to do with the Ethernet port on the CPU so that has no bearing. I would turn off the handshaking but that is not what is causing your problem. this is a baud rate or parity setting problem.

Turning off autobaud fixed the issue! Thanks for taking the time to help Craig!
