I have a TVS50 connected to a TAW848. On an outside call, I want the TVS50 to work as an auto attendant.
If I call from an extension, the TVS answers right away, but from an outside call, it waits 2 rings before answering. Is there a way to have the TVS50 answer right away? I have disabled CID on the TAW848, and I can see the LED showing an outside call on the phones as soon as the call comes in, but the TVS waits for 2 rings. Seems like it would be a setting on the TVS but I cannot find it (if it exists)
Thank you

Point the trunks to the vm extension (500 or whatever you use) and try it again. If that works, then you may have the ICD pointed via delay to the port that the vm is on.

It's tricky, because you can ring the port directly or indirectly and they will both answer.

Thanks for the suggestion but, no, it did not take out the 2 rings. I reset the TAW848 to make sure that nothing was off. I set extension 112 to VM(DPT) and in DIL set line 1 to ring extension 112. with CID enabled it picks up during the 3rd ring, with CID disabled it picks up right after the 2nd ring.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

What ring?
The ring the caller hears or the physical ring on the system you hear?

Thanks, I'm not using any caller ID function in the VM but I'll try it tomorrow.

It's on by default. Under Parameters.

Under 1.3.1 make sure there is no ring delay. You mentioned that it answers immediately when you dial it directly so that's probably not it, but it can't hurt to test it. I would try PUTD and LMON commands to see if you can detect when ringing starts and if there's activity during those cycles.

Whoops. Are you pointing the DIL to 112 or to 500? It should be to whatever VM extension you assigned it in 3.7.2 as a floating extension.
