I am not a Comdial tech, but I was asked if I could network one of my customer's Avaya systems to an existing Comdial FX2. With a T1 or PRI card in the Comdial and a crossover cable to our Avaya PBX, is there the ability in programming to match certain dial patterns to send extension calls over a trunk directly to another PBX? Anything I should be looking for on the Comdial side to see if this capability is available?

You can use a T1 card in the FXII and program the trunks as EM TIE. It will take and make calls but you won't get Caller ID from the other switch. I have plenty of T1 cards if you need one.

Should work OK as long as the expectations are not sky high. We have networked FXII to ShoreTel and Siemens HiPath over T-1 with no problems.
