I work for a company with 5 business lines. I am a new sales person who works out of the home. I just wished these calls that come in over the 800 number could possible be forwarded to my mobile phone. So when they transfer to my extension that's the time they forward the calls to me, it is possible? I do not want to tie up one of the lines since there are just few. Does a system like this exist?

All replies would be highly appreciated.

Yes - most systems can do that.

Do you have equipment in place now? .. if so what type?

Where are you located?

I'd convert the five lines to Centrex service or at a minimum, add the call transfer function to the lines. This will allow transfers from any brand of system without tying up the original line.

I' ve read that with Panasonic TDA/TDE type system it can be possible but something like it requires second line. What can you say about this?

That is true of ANY phone system. Just get the call transfer or Centrex feature added to the lines and you'll be all set, plus you will get what you want: To not tie up the lines.

We tried it guys and it worked and we also used the Panasonic TDA/TDE type system. So everything is doing fine now and I can receive calls.
