I am trying to figure out the best way to stop toll fraud on this sytem. My customer is getting slammed with international calls. Help Please.

Passwords (good) on Boxes 999 and 998. Toll Restrict VM ports for no LD. If call outs not needed, set VM ports for NO call outs and no CO line access. If you have a modem on the TVS lock that up also.

Also, block the appropriate Area Codes. You'll find 1-3 that are being called way more often. Remember that once the link between inbound and outbound lines is set up, dial tone for a new call can be retrieved over and over. Good practice is to be OVERLY restrictive and fight loosening up restrictions. Make sure THE BOSS is aware of what you are doing , or are asked to do. DO NOT take the word of 'Joe' that he's authorized, without at least initial confirmation. Take notes of who said what and when. Itemize EVERY change and get signatures. You MAY be asked to explain why you are still 'allowing' these calls to happen!
