Greets.
I was asked to transfer all calls from trunk lines to a cell phone number on a specific date. Just want to get a couple scenarios by and see what you guys think.
Current setup: - CIX100 - Midwest location, 4 trunk lines. - Currently, all trunk lines ring a hunt group (490) that rings all phones on incoming calls. - We also have an 800 number that rings in our Western location, and calls get transfered to the Midwest location. - Outgoing calls do not need to dial 9 to get out.
Scenario 1 I was thinking, before I leave for the weekend on the 9th to change the Hunt group against the trunk lines to forward to the cell phone number. Simple, effective, to the point.
Scenario 2 Changing the trunk lines to ring midwest receptionist extendition (460). Creating a flexible key to call forward the cell phone. Receptionist has to activate the call forward at day end time.
Any other ideas are welcomed. Thanks.

I hate to be overly specific, but if all the phones ring at the same time, for Toshiba it would be a multiple call group, rather then a hunt group.
You could actually use a remote call forward to set call forwarding for the MCG. I have done this a few different times. One time I used 2 empty MCGs and speed dials so the user can reroute calls.
You can use a flexibale button, as you said. I used a system speed dial so everyone could change the forarding of the MCG.
Using ext 490 for an MCG as an example, you would call forward using the code #6012 490 # 912125555555 #. To cancel, use #6052 490 #.
The downfall is that there is no indication that forwarding is set. The other methode I have used is to DIT calls to the reception and forward that phone, as you mentioned. You can even set a CF-All key so they can toggle it on and off, if this is used regularly.

Sorry for not using the right term, I'm into computers mostly.
Here's what we're going to do, let me know if this makes sense...
o Push the trunk lines to ring only midwest reception (460). o Create 2 flexible buttons on 460: - One to CF-ALL to MCG 490 - One to CF-ALL to Cell phone
That should take care of it all.
Thanks.

Greets. The CF-ALL (490) works like a charm, exept that this will include internal lines as well. Is there a command in the flexible buttons that can be used to exclude internal lines? I'm aware of the #6012 command, but I don't want the users to do it all manually all the time. Toggle is good The CF-ALL -> Cell phone doesn't work. The problem, I think, comes from the fact that the Midwest location employees do not have to dial 9 to get out. It does not seem to want to take a line, it just dials out a local extension for some odd reason. Thanks.

In many systems, the call group would be called a hunt group. With Toshiba, a hunt group does not rimg multiple phones at once. They chose to use the term Multiple Call Group. I just poionted this out to make sure we werer talking about the same thing.
Even though the users dont dial 9, either because they pickup a line directly or the default to line 1, you would still want to add the 9 in the call forwarding string so that the system knows you want to forward externally and not to an extension. If dialin 9 doesn't work, possibly becaus it picks up a dead or unused line in the system, then that would have to be addressed.

Just verified the telephone scenario.
There are only 4 lines into the building. 2 lines to call out, 1 main fax, 1 backup fax.
The current programming rings one of our extension in Eastern TimeZone... weird.
Could it be that all the lines were being used? Would that cause the forwarding to ring an extension? I don't see how it would if the string has a 9 in front of it...
