Hey all, Just started working on this system so bear with me. I've got a ton of NEC and Shoretel experience but the CIX1200 I'm working on now is a bit foreign.
We are trying to program a key on 2 users' phones that will light and signal there is a voicemail and they can press it and dial up the mailbox to check it. This was fairly easy in other systems. Can anyone tell me how to program this key? Thanks for bearing with me as I learn this. Hopefully soon I will be able to help others out while I learn.

UNfortunately it is a lot harder then just programing the key. To make a VM message button on 2 phones you would have to; 1- Make new phantoms on each phone, unique to both phones. 2- Make each phone the owner of that phanton 3- make a Phantom DN message waiting light 4- For a does based voicemail you would have to create new notification templates. I like to make one using the %V variable, then put the phantoms DN in the variable field. You could also make a new template for each phantom. Be sure to ask for help wiith the token variables in the templates if you have never modified them before. You would have to make 2 templates for each extension, one for a ligtht on, and another for a light off (total of 4)
As you can see, this is pretty tricky the first few times you do this. This is one reason I hope the Strata Messaging will become the new prefered voicemail system for the CIX.

I believe we have the strata messaging system. Like I said new to Toshiba so still feeling things out. But we have a MAS server (xp box) if that helps.

The MAS is runs the Stratagy ES (Enterprise Server) voicemail, which is the more advanced voicemail system. In this case 1-3 would apply, but step 4 is slightly easier. You would still need to make 2 templates per extension, but you would just add the Light on and light off , then put the extension numbers corresponding to the Phantom numbers from step 1 into the variable field. No need to know any Token strings.
There is a new voicemail system that Toshiba is branding as the "Strata Messaging", but it does not run on a MAS. It is a small Linux box. Its too bad you did not have this one, because then I would just say to setup cascade messages.
This is one of these things that sound like an easy thing to do, but is deceptively complicated. You could just copy the messages to a distribution list, but then you would have multiple cpoies of each message.
