I have a OS7200 running 4.46d with an OAS card. I have about 15 SMT-i5220's already working fine on the system with a software level of 2.12.
I have just added 4 new SMT-i5220's with a software level of 2.31 and the voice is scrambled, I noticed that a padlock appears in the display of these new handsets unlike the original 2.12 versions i have, when i dial out?
I think its to do with sRTP, but not sure whether the MPS comes into it? if it does, this level of software with an IT Tool doesnt seem to have an MPS on/off like 4.6X

You've been able to turn MPS on/off since its release. Try downgrading the firmware back to 2.12 on 1 of the phones. sRTP is a feature in 4.6x but it's controlled by the system not the handset
