I have a customer that has a DK40 with voicemail. Whenever they loose power, they have to set up the Voicemail Auto attendant recordings all over again. Is there a simple fix for this, perhaps an on board battery? Thanks in advance!

Im not sure Steve. I may need to go onsite and pull the cover off. Its an older system and they don't have any documentation.

Does it lose all of it's programming or just the greetings? I don't think the IVP8 has a battery strap does it?

Its loosing all programming (system and voicemail recordings) when power drops. Recordings to the AA are lost even if the power does not go out. It has been happening about every 2 weeks. Strange.

During boot-up it will go into a panic mode if it can't load all of the files correctly. It will then try to load the database from the "good" directory which in this case is probably a mirror of the default database. By default, the Stratagy does a routine maintenance every Tuesday morning in which a re-boot is performed. Do you notice if it loses its programming on Tuesdays? Regardless, it's time to replace the flash card in the unit before it fails. PM me if you need help with repair.
