I have a customer who wants to play their moh source over the paging spkrs also. The system is a dk280 with a piou single zone paging card. I had them dial #491 from port 000 and they got a busy signal. Is this correct?, do I have to go on site and allow bgm, will it play bgm from the processor rca plug or do I have to hook it up to a station port or a multi-zone piou?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Without looking for the old 280 manual, have them try just 491 (without the #). The older software didn't require the #. If this doesn't work, post back and I will look it up.

Its definitely #491, The display says BGM on, but they also get a fast busy, and no music over paging spkrs. I have not been on site yet. I've been working with them on the phone before I go on site.

I believe that only plays the music over the phone speaker

Unless the phone system holds the MOH source you don't need to connect to it for BGM on paging speakers. Connect a cable direct from the music source to input on paging amp.

If you need to mute bgm during page connect it to rd/br br/rd pair of the piou. I'm not sure if you can turn it off and on from 200 if you wire it that way?
