01/01:RNG DY |01 <-----that's the one I want to increment by 1

I'll just apologize for the elementary question up front...

on the IPK system, how do I increment the trunk by "1" ? (in this case to "02")

"RECALL" does increment it, but adds "8" - I simply want to get to line two to make it ring

I simply have not programmed these before - moved one of these systems to a new location today - during the move the switch defaulted, likely due to dead CPU battery

left to right, I think... - the first 2 digits are the port, second 2 digits are the function (in this case RNG DY) and last 2 digits appear to be the TRUNKS - I have no trouble getting the line 1 to ring on the available ports at any station, but CO lines 2 and 3 are being a bit more elusive

I moved an IPKII yesterday (my first) and it was a breeze (you'd have thought it was an SV8100)

Otherwise, I'm done (the default was very close to what I needed anyway)

I believe you use * to back up to the field the trunk is in and dial 02.

"conf" will indeed increment the port (1st field) and * will allow me to reach the same field (backs up to that field) - I'm actually trying to figure out how to increment the last field, the actual "trunk number" for a specific port to something other than trunk one if that (the way I'm saying it) makes sense

The first trunk port one is always going to be trunk number one, in that program. I don't remember if you can change the name of the trunk or not, but if that can be changed, it will be a different program.

Thank you - appreciate the reply...

I have a programming manual and didn't see anything that looked like that. Then again, I also didn't find a way to increment it either within that field.

Thankyou - I'll take another look...

That data field is a page number. Pressing the recall key allows you program line keys 1-8 based on how many CO lines you have. Example, you can only program CO lines 1-8 to ring on port 01 on page 01. To get CO lines 8-16, to need to turn the page, that's why you see an 8 when you press the recall key, it corresponds with line key 01 = Co line 08. The program manual desrcibes how to navigate the display field. Do you have the right one?

I was wondering if you might see this post! smile Thank you for the reply.

I don't know if I have the right manual for the installed FW version, but it was the only one I found that was reasonably accurate.

I have an IPK system set up at my desk and will see what I can do this morning if I get a chance.

If you have a manual that might be more applicable, I'd sure like to take a "look see."

Then again, I may have a good (applicable) manual and just not interpreting well

IPK II

Well, I sure appreciate you pointing out I was trying to modify the page number, but don't I feel a bit stupid...

All requested phones ring now, on all requested lines - thank you for the help

I can only say I've never seen one of these before I moved it and I'm not used to having to program NECs thru a phone - "NOW" it doesn't seem so bad, but I certainly feel I should have seen that issue.

westerntelephone/doghart...

- thank you as well - I just wasn't "getting it" - Had I followed your advice I probably would have realized I was on the second port, but I was fixed on getting the "page" field to say "2" for whatever reason - what's worse is, I used to program DBS systems by changing the line key colors too - I didn't "connect" that either

Thank you agn...
