Client is "upgrading" from her Nortel 3x8 to an XBlue next Tuesday. Just realized today that the X16's phones don't use standard headsets that use a modular connection, but need the type with a 3/32" plug.
Client wants (& uses) a model that is monaural & goes over the head.
I just checked Plantronics website & I don't anything available.
What do you use and/or recommend?

Dave...we use the following:
Plantronics part number 43038-01 18" Rt Angle 2.5 mm cord
Plantronics part number 40703-01 Extender cord
Then what ever style headset top the customer prefers.

If they want something inexpensive, they are the same size plug that fits a cell phone. Electronics stores like Fry's here sell them for $19.95 and most any cell phone headset should work.
You can also get a Bluetooth adapter and use any cordless headset you want.

Also the Plantronics CS wireless series works well. But not the handset lifter.

What was the issue with the lifter. I've used that on another client's XBlue, without issue.

I've done several and they get caught on the clip by the handset. If you have it working they may have redesind it. XBlue know of the problem

Client has had it for about a couple of years and hasn't complained yet. Did you use the extender arm?

Like I said, it was a couple of years ago and haven't heard about any issues. I was just there about a month ago or so for something else and they didn't say anything about the lifter/headset.
