Ok! I have a question and I hope you guys don't make me look crazy and it is probably something minor I am overlooking or maybe it is not capable of doing this task. I have a KX-TDA50 with the KX-TVA50 Voicemail programmed and working pretty well. This is actually the first Panasonic System I have setup. I like it alot! My question is on the feature key programming. I program ext. 101 feature key to call ext. 102 using the one touch feature. It calls extension 102, but ext. 101 feature key does not light up when calling ext. 102 and it does not light up when ext. 102 is in use. Is this system capable of doing this? If I may ask another question I am fixing to install a DECT Unit. I am reading the manual and it says I need a 6 line dispaly phone to do this. Is this the case or is there another way? Thank You all and have a good evening!

Sincerely,
kkell11400

How did you program those "feature" keys? For DSS you press PROG press the feature button and dial 1+ext number ENTER.

You'll know you got it right, because if you program an empty extension, or unplug it, it will light up :-)

You need the maintenance console to add a DECT phone, but I guess if the manual says you need a 6 line set, there must be a way around using the MC.

You can register a dect portable with the maintenance console, a dt343 or dt346. Maybe the six line lcd would be needed if you are using 77xx phones?
