A Customer has a magix w/ a 24ch PRI. We changed it to a IA circuit with 12ch for voice. The out dialing, to forward calls to cell phones, use to work. Now it says invalide number. I think it is trying to use a channel that is not available, I can't remember if i decreased the channels in the PRI programming or not. You always get a line when you dial 9 so I never messed with it. Does the off-net forwarding use lines in a different order? Which channels should I delete, the first 12 or 13 thru 23? This is only a problem with an outside incoming call. It works if you intercom the station, goes right to the cell phone.

But the outcalling string is 9 and the outside number, the exact same way you would dial it from a telephone extension, so it is using the same bunch of channels as when you dial the number yourself.
So the question is is the call getting out of the phone system? Check Restrictions and ARS FRL of the voice mail ports.
Are you sending the telephone number on the PRI? If so, is it base + extension, and the VM ports are sending an invalid telephone number (because of their extension numbers?)

What is strange is that it works when you intercom the station. Do I need an extra "system access" button to handle 1 incomming and 1 outgoing call?

OK, are you taking about a mailbox "outcalling" when a message has been left, or transferring a call to an extension that has been forwarded to an outside number?
If the latter, assign Trunk to Trunk transfer to each voicemail port in addition to the ARS FRL are restriction settings.

Not using the voice mail, just forwarding the phone. They have DID numbers on a PRI.

I'm really missing the call flow here.
You have phantom extensions that are forwarded to an outside number?
You answer live, and want to transfer to that extension number, so that the call will go to the outside number?
Give everyone, including the person making the transfer, Trunk to Trunk transfer. Be sure that the transfer is taking place on a SA-RING button, not SA-Voice.

NO these are extensions with phones and DID incoming numbers. The Boss wants to hit the golf course but doesn't want anyone to know, he forwards his phone to his cell phone. Someone calls his number it should go to his cell phone, but it dosen't. But if you intercom his extension from within the system it does forward to his phone. Think the SA-Voice and Ring might be the problem.

you need to enable trunk to trunk transfer in order for it to work.

It's not Trunk to Trunk transfer, still doesn't work. I'm getting an intercept from the phone company saying the number I've dialed is invalid. The thing thats got me is that it works if you intercom the station or if the call goes through the Auto Attendent, its just when you dial the extension direct on the DID.
