I tried putting phantoms on the DSS console (port 010102) for the main receptionist 3014 phone (port 010101). The programming would appear on the console on the laptop but would not ring.

When I added a ADM3020 or whatever it is, and took the phantom buttons off the console and put the same buttons on the ADM, they rang perfectly.

Am I missing something about mixing DSS buttons and Phantom buttons on a 60 button console or it is not possible to add Phantoms to a console that has DSS buttons?

Thanks, Bracha

I bet you can't make a CO line ring on a DSS either. If so then it just means that you can not make the console ring. ADMs work because they are on the same port as the phone.

Thanks, was originally told by certified Toshiba tech, (not a dummy either) that is was supposed to work.

All I have are DIDs, no CO trunks so can't do your suggestion.

Thanks, Bracha

I have one site that has 3 60 button DSS consoles so that the reception can answer for the sub teneants and can see who the caller is calling. Going by memeory I was sure that there was phantons on the DSS that ring. DID numbers were directed to differnt phantons on the DSS so the reception would know how to answer the line.

The phone did not have a 20 button ADM attached, which would be one difference. Did you verify ownership when moving the phantom DNs around?
