Is there a way to view the traffic statistics without having it being sent to a printer through the RS-232 port? I am just looking to view the trunk usage over a period of time.

Thank You

You can setup diagnostics monitor. It will give you the info your looking for to a pc. Version 8.0 and higher you can do it through the network port if you have sockets turned on

Can you give me some specific directions as to where to go in programming etc? Thanks a lot.

Are looking for Message Print or SMDR? For either of those, you must enable a socket (Axxess 8.0 and above, all 5000's) for the system to output the data. You then use the Diagnostics Monitor to view the data.

I am looking for message print. I was looking at the traffic option under on-line monitor in maintanence and it says use message print. It is above 8.0. I looked in the programming and did not see anything specifically that said "diagnostics monitor". Am I missing it?

Diagnostics Monitor is a tool that is installed when you install DB Programming, unless you don't want it to. It should be listed in the Start menu w/ Session Manager. You must enable the Message Print socket under System>Cabinets>Sockets. Fire up Diagnostics Monitor, select Message Print, type yer IP addy etc...

I did place the output port for message print to PP100. Now am I supposed to physically connect anything to that port on the phone system? I selected message print in diagnostics monitor and typed in the IP address of the phone system and said the socket has been closed...

I figured it out. The message print socket was not enabled under sockets in cabinets. Thanks a lot!

I can view the message print, but when I try to use the query node traffic feature code it tells me I cannot access this feature. I am set as an administrator on my phone.
