Any one else have trouble with these? I have one right now that drops calls back to dialtone after dialing, then you can redail the number, very inconsistant though. Cust has a T1 split for data and 12 loop start lines.

I've had similar problems with your exact setup. Don't know what the solution is but I am here for moral support.

Have the provider replace the adtrans. It was most likely a used one from another site that they cleaned up after it was returned.

I helped troubleshoot one for a guy a while back. I think it was back around September. You might search for it. It was a T1 being split for voice and data as well and had some very inconsistant behavior also.
As I recall on that one it was not being able to draw tone but I don't remember for sure. I do know that when we had the provider change the "Line Z" setting from 600 Ohms to 600 Ohms + 2.16 microfareds it resolved the problem. It had to do with what the Adtran expected to see for an on hook and off hook scenerio. With the Axxess, it doesn't see what it expects to see with a regular set.
Since then I've talked to a tech at Adtran that has told me that they commonly get problems like this that the provider can't solve. It's not until the provider finally opens a ticket with Adtran that it gets fixed. You might push for that option with the provider.

Thanks, good input. I had the Vender there today and they tried a different Adtran, the first call dropped back to dailtone, but the rest didn't (15 min of calls.) We thought it may have still booting up during the first call, but the problem is so inconsistant, that I wouldn't call it fixed. I'll post an update on this one.

Update- Finally figured this one out, it's a delay of dailtone. It takes about 20 trys to get it to fail at the 66 block, but it gives about a 6 second delay, which is long enough for someone to dial a number. Now to get this vender to fix it might be the hard part...
