I am wanting to back up my EVMC data through a floppy drive and preferrably a zip drive per the manual. I want to do this without connecting the monitor and keyboard to the EVMC and do it through session manager through my laptop connected to the LAN. I noticed that the zip kit is around $250, which I am not exactly prepared to purchase it if I can just buy the zip drive online somewhere. I was curious about the save & restore disks that were mentioned. Can those be purchased seperately or does anyone have an idea where I can get them? Also, what type of floppy disk drive is needed? Thanks for you help in advance. Everyone is always so helpful!

Please complete your profile. The floppy drive is a standard 1.44 "A" drive and has to be connected to the EVMC internally. In other words you have to shutdown the EVMC and remove it from its slot, on the componet side of the EVMC there will be a connector for the floppy drive to be connected to. Then place the EVMC back in the system, I always power down everything first, then power it back up. You will need to hookup the keyboard, monitor. If it can be done thru the lan I am unaware. But someone else will chime in with more information.
Don't forget to fully update/complete your profile.
