Just installed an OS7100 for customer. 3 analog Comcast hunt lines connected to system. Customer has a google voice number advertised as their main number and it's pointed to line 1 on the system.

When ring plan 1 (night mode, rings to 519) is set and caller dials google voice number, the call just rings no answer and never goes to main greeting (line 1 button flashes). When ring plan 2 is set(day mode, rings to 501)the call rings thru and overflows to main greeting after 4 rings. I tried putting a delay in night mode but call never goes to greeting.

However if I call the analog number direct everything works fine.

Doing this in a hurry, have to leave. If I remember right, you have to set day/night in 744, did you do that? Not positive it is 744 but around there, I think that is the problem, the system shows the line ringing because there is a line 1 button but not going to voicemail. Program says something like Voicemail Day/Night setting.

Check the Google Voice options. It has the ability to go straight thru, or to go to its Google Voice Mbx after so many rings. I use it on a 7200, straight thru.

Bunnie, 744 is set correctly by default (all 1's).
Nameless, in day mode the google voice call rings all phones in group 501 but never follows overflow timer.
Phoneman, I'll have the customer check google voice settings. Maybe that will do it.

I am at a loss though because the google voice number is pointing to the comcast number.

Thanks all.

If it doesn't follow the overflow timer then you either have db corruption or it's not ringing to that station group.

Check your smdr output.

Is the issue with day or night?
Your first post you say night mode is the issue, but now your saying it doesn't overflow in day?

If all ring plans are set to 1 in 744, it will never go to night.

OH!

Maybe 1 for day, 2 for night? Maybe 2 for day, 1 for night, where do you want it to ring when?
