I installed a used CMS in a NEC IPK II last year and the owner found one for less than 150.00. The CMS has no hard drive so it is more reliable. It will not support soft keys though. The CMS and VMS both run DOS 6.2. You can buy pre-imaged replacement drives for around 400.00. You have a failed hard drive. No way to recover the system inage frm a dead drive. You can get 2.5 to 3.5 IDE adapters for 3-4 bucks on eBay if you want to see what is recoverable.
