Not sure if this is typical behavior or not, but we have a TDA30 with 20 second Intercepts to Vmail programmed for each extension. Calling the extension results in reaching the mailbox after 20 seconds, but transferring to the extensions results in endless ringing. Any idea what's up?

It's a TVM50.

I had that problem with a svm on a ncp, but a tvp50 worked ok.
i think it maybe because the call did not start at that extension so won't follow intercept. I used fwd no answer for the transfered call.
What level of software is on the system

It's 5 something. This is how we have always set things up (in the last couple of years). Gonna try an init and see if that clears things up.

could do it I also use it with the tvm with no problems thought it may be the older version firmware causing it

INIT didn't work. Made a work-around by using transfer recall to send to VM.

Found out recently that with Version 5 on TDA and all TDE/NCP you now have to set the Transfer Recall timer to make forwarded calls go to voicemail they no longer follow Intercept Routing. There is a tech note on the dealer site.
