Hey all,

I know RTFM but sometimes the forum is quicker. I have an Aspire M with 3 pots and 20 to 30 phones (very LARGE house) Version 7 dot something ...

All phones ring on the 3 lines and the caller ID shows up in the display. If you answer the ringing call on say the theater phone that extension will add that most recent call to its caller ID history. The rest of the phones will not have that CID in their history.

If none of the phones answer the call and it goes to vmail, the CID history will be available on all the phones.

How do you keep the CID history on all the extensions when one extension answers the call?

Thanx.

PS any cool tricks / ideas on making a system CID storage bin? The manual / user guide touched on it. I browsed it quickly . Typically in a business environment you don't care about the caller ID on the phone at the loading doc in the presidents office

So it appears that you can NOT keep the call history (CID) on the phones that do not answer the ringing call.

The reason when the voice mail answers after 6 rings all the phones will retain that CID history is that is a missed call. When another phone answers it is an answered call.

Trying to think of a way to trick the system or still collect all the call history in one place. Any thoughts?

SMDR logs? A bit complex over kill I would guess
Set up one phone to ring when the voice mail group rings?

Yes you could set up one phone to ring for all incoming calls. Then put a key on the other phones with that extension on it to ring.
